About Eat · Rate · Cook

Who is Alizhya?

I’m Alizhya, a Venezuelan living in the Philippines with a big appetite, a curious mind, and a soft spot for cozy corners and good design. I used to run a small food truck before, and now I cook, taste, and tell stories from my life between arepas and adobo.

This space is my food diary: a mix of restaurant reviews, home-cooked recipes, coffee adventures, and the little details that make life abroad feel like home.

Here, you’ll find:

Honest restaurant reviews – no sugar-coating, just what’s worth your time and money.

Comforting recipes – Venezuelan, Filipino, and lots of international recipes and a few “accidental fusion” dishes.

Coffee Corner – cafés, slow mornings, and cups that deserve a second visit.

Whether you’re Venezuelan living abroad, Filipino curious about Latin flavors, or just someone who loves to eat, I hope this place feels like sitting at a friend’s table – with stories, laughter, and something good to nibble on.

Bienvenidos, welcome, and salamat for being here. 💛

Working together

Eat · Rate · Cook is not about trends or chasing what’s popular — it’s about noticing details, taking time, and sharing experiences honestly. When I work with a place or a brand, I do so the same way I write: thoughtfully, openly, and with respect for the people behind it.

I believe the best collaborations feel natural. Like a good meal, they work when there’s trust, shared values, and room to be human.

Honest representation

I only share places and products I genuinely connect with. That honesty is what readers trust — and what makes a collaboration feel real rather than promotional.

A calm, considered pace

I’m not a high-volume content machine. I focus on quality, atmosphere, and storytelling that gives your work space to breathe.

A lived-in perspective

As someone living abroad, I see food and places through the lens of memory, culture, and everyday life — not just as content, but as experience.

Care for the small details

From presentation to tone, I’m attentive to how things feel, not just how they look.

You value:

  • authenticity over hype
  • long-term connection over quick exposure
  • storytelling that feels personal, not scripted
  • food, coffee, and spaces made with intention

If that sounds like you, we’ll probably work well together.
